About

Phraxos is a fictional island in John Fowles' 1965 novel "The Magus." This imaginary location was inspired by the real island of Spetses, which is situated off the southern coast of Greece.

I loved the book so much that I decided to name my static site generator after the island. I also released a music album based on the book locations, characters and lore. (external link)
